Affordable housing is a critical need in Alabama, affecting many residents nationwide. The shortage of affordable housing leads to increased homelessness, financial strain, and reduced quality of life. To address this crisis in Bullock County:
The Build Bullock Coalition (listed below) of Union Springs was formed due to shared concerns of citizens and former residents drive towards affordable housing. Thenceforth, they partnered with us, D&E, A Housing & Economic Empowerment Center, Inc
Together, the Leadership Coalition and D&E aim to address the critical shortage of affordable housing and improve living conditions for low- and moderate-income families and individuals in Bullock County. Their combined expertise in community development equips them to develop an effective and sustainable affordable housing program.
